A menu bar app for the Mac
Files and windows in their place
Seam lives in your Mac's menu bar. Drag files to its icon to drop them in the right folder. Click a grid cell to move the front window into it, and save where every window sits so one click puts them back.
This is a working copy of Seam's drop-down, and it plays a short tour. Move your pointer onto it to take over: click a grid cell, a position button, or a layout number to move the windows.
Filing files
Drop a file on the menu bar and it lands in the right folder
Your rules pick the likely folder, for example screenshots to Pictures and PDFs from your bank to Documents. Seam moves files and never deletes them. If a move would replace a file, the old one goes to the Trash.

Arrange windows with a grid you design
Recent versions of macOS tile windows into halves and quarters. Seam adds docking between windows, grids you build yourself, keyboard shortcuts, and saved layouts.
Layouts
Save where every window sits, then restore it with one click
Seam keeps six layouts. Each one records every window on screen: its app, its place, and which window is in front. Click the number to put every window back. Seam finds each window again, even after its app restarts.

Restore a layout from wherever you are:
- The Layouts row in the drop-down
- Control-Option-1 to 6 on the keyboard; add Shift to save
